Our goal is to educate students about cybersecurity basics and show that the cybersecurity field is accessible to anyone. This challenge promotes problem solving and critical thinking with a set of realistic challenges that will emphasize the importance of cybersecsurity practices. BASTION immerses the user in a corporate environment, where they must use a combination of real world artifacts and digital clues to unravel a narrative and stop a security threat. Our challenge is meant for beginners of all ages, but is recommended for highschool and college students who are interested in learning more about the cybersecurity field.
We are a group of students from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Computing and Information. We developed BASTION as a Capstone project that would allow us to showcase our different skillsets and hopefully encourage more students to pursue a career in technology.
